Domain name monitoring

Thousands of new domains are registered every day. Some contain your brand, and rarely by chance. Domain name monitoring warns you early, before those domains turn into a fraudulent website or a phishing email.

Let’s talk about monitoring your domains

What we monitor

New registrations

Domains matching or resembling your trademark in generic (.com, .shop, .online…), country-code (.es, .de, .fr…) and new gTLD extensions.

Variations

Typos, added words (yourbrand-deals, yourbrandshop) and homographs using characters from other alphabets.

Activation

A parked domain that suddenly points to a website or starts sending email. 65% of suspicious registrations sit on a holding page until that moment.

Whois changes

New registrant, new contact details, transfers and renewals of the suspicious domain.

Content changes

Tracking of live websites to see whether they mention your brand, your products or key terms of your industry.

How it works

  1. 1

    We define the scope

Brands, product names, variations and the extensions that matter to your business.

  2. 2

    Daily brand monitoring

We notify you clearly and filtered of new registrations and deletions of domains matching the monitored brand.

  3. 3

    We decide together

For every case we propose an action: watch, send a notice, recover or block.

Who it is for

For companies with well-known brands and customers who buy online, and for IP law firms that want to offer their clients reliable domain monitoring without building the technology themselves.

Frequently asked questions

How does monitoring differ from domain blocking?

Blocking prevents registrations in the extensions it covers. Monitoring sees what happens in all the others and in the variations that cannot be blocked. Most clients combine both.

How often will I receive alerts?

Alerts arrive daily or can be grouped into a regular report at the frequency you choose.

Do you monitor country-code extensions?

Yes. We include the country domains that are relevant to your markets.

What is typosquatting?

Typosquatting is registering misspelled or look-alike versions of a brand’s domain, such as yourbrnad.com or yourbrand-login.com, to catch mistyped traffic, run phishing or sell fakes. Domain name monitoring detects these registrations as soon as they appear.

Can law firms use the service for their clients?

Yes. We work with IP firms that manage several client brands and receive one consolidated report per client.
