Trademark registration

Your trademark is what sets you apart. Registering it gives you the exclusive right to use your name, logo and slogans, and it is the foundation for any later protection online.

How we register your trademark

  1. 1

    Prior-rights search

We check whether similar marks already exist that could block registration, before you invest in the application.

  2. 2

    Filing strategy

We define in which countries and in which classes of goods and services your mark should be protected.

  3. 3

    Application

We file the application with the relevant national, EU or international office.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

We track the procedure and deadlines until registration, and remind you of every renewal.

Where you can protect your trademark

National trademark

Protection in a single country, for example Spain.

European Union trademark

One application for the countries of the European Union.

International trademark

Extending your trademark to other countries through the Madrid System.

Trademark and domain, two different things

A domain is your website’s address; a trademark is the exclusive right to your name. You can have one without the other, but only a registered trademark lets you act against those who use it without permission.

With a registered trademark you can record it in the TMCH, apply for domain blocks and recover domains through UDRP.

Frequently asked questions

What can be registered as a trademark?

Words, names, logos, slogans and other signs that distinguish your goods or services from those of other companies.

Why search first?

Because a similar registered mark can block your application. Knowing in advance saves time and money.
